Born to missionary parents in India, John Brand responded to God’s call to preach during his last year at school, and after working for a few years trained at the Bible Training Institute in Glasgow. For twelve years he pastored Independent Evangelical Churches in London and Liverpool, during this time he also served on the UK council of Africa Inland Mission International (AIM) In October 1993 he became AIM’rope in 1999. In this capacity he has travelled widely with a Bible teaching ministry throughout Europe and Africa for missionaries and church leaders. His greatest joy is training African pastors in expository preaching and he runs an annual Preacher’s Workshop in the Sudan. Since 2007 John has been Vice Principal of the Faith Mission Bible College in Edinburgh where he teaches theology, Biblical interpretation, missiology and homiletics. He frequently contributes articles on mission and Africa related issues to Christian publications and is the author of the Book “Mission Matter”, now published in Romanian.
Married to Caroline and with two grown up sons, they are members of Harper Memorial Baptist Church in Glasgow

Jonathan Currie originally from Ballycastle, Co Antrim, is married to Liz and they have three teenage children Mark, Rachel and Hannah. He is minister of Union Road and Lecumpher Presbyterian Churches,
Magherafelt. Outside of pastoral ministry Jonathan is involved in Missions and Convention speaking and is a member of the Faith Mission Council. In his spare time Jonathan plays golf and swims, neither of which he does
